The Centre pairs post section was completed today with no finalists coming through although Tania Woodham and Christine Buchanan and Jonathan Flint and Steve Street went out at the semi final stage while Gary Lawson and Matt Lewis went out in the quarter finals. Paul McKinnel and Liam Eathorne would have been disappointed in not going forward and getting a threepeat.

Well done to Jonathan Flint who got through to the O60 singles semi final which will be played on Thursday March 5. He will play Burnside’s Mike Small. The final will be on Friday, March 6.

Great news from the women’s Centre pairs at Burnside.

Jo Wyatt and Annette Scully, new members to Elmwood Park, and both U5, [Annette is year 2] qualified for post section. They beat some tough teams. This is the first Centre event Annette has ever played in. Well done ladies.
Also qualifying from Burnside were Tania Woodham and Christine Buchanan.
Other qualifiers were Gary Lawson & Matt Lewis, Glen Porter & Seddon Jury Jane, Cam Wood & Chris Waldron, Jonathan Flint & Steve Street, Paul McKinnel & Liam Eathorne, Kim Rowlands & Fiona Frew,  and Bev Morel & Nylla Tamati.
Ten teams from EP is a great effort, all the best for Sunday.
Special good luck to Paul McKinnel & Liam Eathorne who will be striving for a rare threepeat!
Note too that another U5 member qualified, Matt Lewis.
EP has a strong group of U5 members that augers well for the future of the club..
